This is a one day training event for staff who wish to understand the principles that underpin the Ffa-la-la methodology and the practicalities of using it as a means of developing Welsh language skills. Those who attend the course are likely to be senior staff, including Welsh Language Co-ordinators.
This is a two day training event designed for teaching staff who will implement the Ffa-la-la method. The course is structured around sentence patterns selected from the ‘Continuum of Welsh Language Patterns’. This highly practical course will introduce the songs and activities with a view to developing the necessary teaching skills. The feedback on this course has been very positive in terms of the effectiveness of the Ffa-la-la method and enjoyment experienced by attendees.
A comprehensive Resource Pack is provided with this training course. The pack contains the 20 sentence patterns selected from the Welsh continuum. For each sentence pattern there is a lesson plan, a recording of each song, the words for the song, a suggested relevant activity, written exercises and a story which reinforces the theme.
Ffa-la-la INSET days and twilight CPD training provides all staff with an insight into the benefits of the Ffa-la-la approach. This course is for staff who wish to understand the principles that underpin the Ffa-la-la methodology and the practicalities of using it as a means of developing Welsh language skills. It is suitable for all teaching staff and can be delivered for departmental, cluster or target groups. Training can be held at your school or another school, depending on which is hosting the event.
